A slight error with my new handle
« on: April 24, 2016, 01:48:28 AM »
So I was busting some wood for my grill when I broke the scales off of my old hickory. So I double spiral wrapped it with paracord. And it slipped while I was working.

Ouch! Maybe you should invest in a hatchet to do that?

Edit: I meant use a hatchet to chop kindling, not carve divots out of yourself! LOL!

I guess he'd rather be in Colorado.

Yep, guess you'll have to buy a new knife ... And a hatchet.

Nah, just a hatchet.  He can put new scales on his knife blank now that he's gotten rid of the old ones.
Seriously people, stop expecting normal from me.... We all know it's never gonna happen.

That's even a better idea!

busting scales sounds hard to do, even on purpose.

Good thing it was old hickory. If it had been Dexter or Russell it would have taken your leg off. (not really)

Glad it wasn't too terrible. Take some pics when you get the knife put back together.
...don't go thinking you know me.

I just double spiral wrapped it in paracord for now. And I had a tomohawk, but it was stolen, so I used what I had available that's wasn't worried about hurting. I really didn't want to baton my 100$ (easily my most expensive knife) khukri through that stuff.
