Schrade OT Desert Ironwood Handle Medium Trapper
« on: July 28, 2016, 02:38:59 PM »
I recently bid on a gently used OT Trapper with very nice Ironwood grips.  I won the auction and got it today.  It is marked "Schrade" and 940TW.  There is no stamp indicating country of origin which I thought was required on anything made overseas.  However, I do not think this is a USA product based upon slightly crude fit and finish.  While it is perfectly OK for the $8.50 I paid, I would like to know where it was made.  Anybody know??
I guess he'd rather be in Colorado.

Imnukensc,  Thanks, I have to agree with you.  The knife is pretty well made and actually looks like it might have been made in the factory that makes Rough Rider.  The big difference is the OT opens easily and snaps shut smartly where my 4-1/8" RR is nearly impossible to open without breaking finger nails.  As I said, for $8.50, I am not unhappy with it.
