amateur vs custom knife maker
« on: December 22, 2016, 04:26:36 AM »
i as wondering what is the difference between amateur and a custom knife maker .
mabey getting paid for your work or is it the ability to make people ooh&aah and wow.
as a aspirering knife maker with a long way to go.   i must admit i do a whole lot of
oohing and aahhing on this forum. but it's deeper for me as a artist at heart i see many
here as my teachers

I don't know much about the knife business, but in the world of photography, if less than half your annual income is derived from photographic pursuits, you are still classed as an "amateur" no matter how skilled you are.
Don't bother walking a mile in my shoes. That would be boring. Try spending 30 seconds in my head. That will freak you right out!!
