I love that Isuzu Vehi-Cross!  Wish they brought it back.  Still looks great.  I'm currently looking to get a 4x4.  Possible a Nissan Frontier

I've only seen one in my life but I fell in love with an Isuzu Vehi-Cross. Screams Baja racer. The new Subaru Crosstrek is nearly the same. Love the look of those as well.

SWMBO's tribute threw a rod 9 miles shy of 232k and 2 months shy of 15 years.
she replaced it with a Jeep Renegade (the only non-US made jeep)
not a bad little car -- she likes the mileage and the pep but misses the carry capacity.

if anyone needs tribute parts, I have a lot of them at the moment.

Well it took a little longer than I expected it to but finally found a decent used SUV in the area.  It is an AWD Equinox.  4 cyl auto with only a few amenities.  A/c and cruise being two of them.  Low miles and priced right.  Got a decent price for my trade in.





Its primary use is driving gravel roads to town, trips on paved roads, and winter travel in the area.  If it is really bad we still have the conventional 4x4 truck.

Congrats.  I didn't much believe in my wife's Outback AWD until a blizzard in NC and super muddy trail up to the cabin this summer.  I'm sure you'll get some great years out of your choice.

Yes!!! All good things come to those who wait. That side profile is really sharp looking.

Does it have traction control? It it does, it would out perform the truck in everything but ground clearance.

It has traction control.  It doesn't have low range of course so it depends a bit on momentum.  I have found that AWD with traction control works, in some situations, better if the TC is turned off.  Using TC can result in the system preventing the engine from revving high enough to get up hills.  It will be a learning experience.

If it will outperform the truck I will be one happy camper.  :)

I did that with the Cruze too.  I use synthetic oil and change it every 4 to 5 K or once a year as we sometimes don't drive that many miles.
