Another Ocala NF Outing

Madmax, Max and I had a very relaxing time.  The weather was perfect.

I was down in the Villages  cooking for a bunch of retired LEO on Wednesday.  I would have much rather been camping.   :)
The place you were camping looks very familiar.

Yeah.  I figgered you'ld recognize it.  Fairly clean.  It had rained for 2 days before.  The roads were iffy for 2 wd's.  So we went here.

April, Friday the 13th, a Winter Storm WARNING with 8-12 inches of snow & 50 mph winds predicted for tonight and tomorrow here in NEBRASKA......and you guys are cooking ears of FRESH SWEET CORN on a campfire in the middle of a tropical paradise?  There's something wrong here!! :doh: :shrug:

Looks like a great area and relaxing place to be.

At present we are just below freezing and it is snowing hard.  3"  down and 5" or so to go.  Should quit about 6PM tonight.

You know what?.....we're seriously considering it! :thumbsup:    It would be nice, for a change, to sit around a camp fire out in the bush, cooking fresh victuals with friends, rather than crouching over a bonfire just to keep from freezing to death!

Looks like a GREAT camp. Glad you guys got out. I think there's plenty of days left in April to get some nice weather camps in.

looks like Tony and I will visit Ocala NF again next week.  Three or four days at Hopkins Prairie.
