well todays the day

today i get the tree i posted about before.
as far as i can tell from a photo comparison of the
buds, the tree is a boxelder not a hackberry.
good bad or otherwise i'll post photos.
of the burls. the crotch section alone apears to be one
giant burl it's self. weell will just have to see.
it's like you never reall know till you cut into the tree.
I did notice that at the base of the tree there are burls
that go below the grounds surface, i understant that that is
a good sign. I hope to get feed back on this one.
my biggest saw is only 20in a sthl ms390,

and the crouch is over 40,in id say.

and btw iI will be selling blocks of the wood
if it's good.

little by little i'm still hacking away so to speak at the tree.
one truism is sadly not all that glitters is gold,
so until i find something worthy of a photo
I dont think I'll post one. dashed dreams is all I can say at this point.

so no birds eyes yet but i'm finding some really nice swirls
and wavy patterns mixed with differnt shades and colors,
so i guess i'll post some this afternoon.
