We have been eating a lot of pears.  This is homemade pear butter on biscuit from scratch.

"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving pretty with a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways in a cloud of smoke, thouroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, Wow! What a ride!"

Pear, apricot, and peach all make great fruit butters. Looks good

Pear is right in there with buffalo berry in my opinion.

Nothing special

2 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
3 teaspoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup shortening
1 egg
2/3 cup 2% milk
