It appears that today is the birthday of the start of the Boy Scouts. Robert Baden Powell got it going with his book on January 24, 1908.
While they are a troubled organization today they did a lot of good for a lot years.

Under duress, they still do, but all of the present day changes to the organization have done them no good that I can see.
