Bahamas
« on: June 04, 2019, 09:18:08 AM »
Been on a cruise and off the grid for a few days. I forgot to download the wi-fi app for the cruise ship before we left so no wi-fi for me for the trip.

My family's first cruise and our first trip to the Bahamas was awesome. We left Charleston, SC on Monday afternoon and returned Saturday morning. Spent a couple days in the Bahamas and a couple days at sea. It was about 100F when we left Charleston but the weather was about perfect the rest of the trip -- in the low-mid 80's, nice breeze, no rain.

Just a few pics...

From Fort Fincastle overlooking Port Nassau

At Half Moon Cay, I fled the crowded beach to explore this ol' pirate ship. Turned out to be a rum bar ...

After the "pirate ship" I really did escape and found the quiet side of the cay. Didn't see another person for about an hour - only the free range chickens.

I woulda been happy in a hammock right here for a few days.

Looks like a nice bit of terrain.  Too many people probably but you found the right spots. Great sunsets.

The hammock sounds good.

Glad you had a nice trip and found some solitude.  I love islands... for awhile.  Then island fever starts in and I'm ready to see some new things.

Nice trip Mike. I hope you did some fishing there.

Beautiful sunsets in that area of the world, but we've never been on a cruise.  Maybe an Alaskan cruise would be a way for us to try one out.....I think more people from our area go up there, rather than the tropics.

Where are the thongs? Bahamas = thongs?

Nice shots man. Never touched the ocean. Seen it a few times from afar...
