I think that turned out rather well. The blade shape appears to me to be easier to use and sharpen than some of the various commercial tourist models I have seen. We have a couple of them and they are probably made in China for the Alaska tourists. Unknown steel and nondescript wooden handles.
They are both ground only on one side. Great for mincing vegetables and slicing meat into small pieces. I skinned a deer with one a few years ago and, like bib overalls, wonder why I don't use it more often.
I cannot judge the size of yours. What kind of steel did you use? I also like the size of the pins.
