Brussel Sprouts

 Anyone have a good recipe for cooking them,  I've heard suggestions for oven roasting, pan frying, steaming, and boiling,  I've never had made them, we had them once at a restaurant as a side dish,  I thought they were ok but wouldn't go out of my way to order them again, my wife didn't like the texture or bitter taste.
 However,  my two daughters and one of my grand daughters love them, I'd like to know a way to make them that's as good as it gets and give them another try, maybe the restaurant where we had them didn't do them right ?

Boil or steam halved or quartered Brussels sprouts to help reduce the bitterness.
Butter, bacon and/or cheese make 'em even more yummy. Hollandaise, dijon based sauces, salad dressings, etc go well.
Done right there's little to no bitterness.

I got nothing.  I've posted pics of me eating strange things and some weren't bad taste wise.  Brussel sprouts make me barf. 
At least it's not a femur through the pelvis.

My wife makes roasted brussel sprouts quite often. This is her method:

Trim and cut brussel sprouts in half lengthwise.
Place in bowl and lightly coat with olive oil and salt and pepper
Place on a baking tray, cut side down
Bake in a 400 degree F oven for 20-30 minutes, until brown. Cook longer if you want some char on the outside.
Remove from oven and return to a bowl and drizzle with honey and balsamic vinegar and mix.

1. If sugar is in your diet, this is our #1 method:
Steam the sprouts cut in half lengthwise until they are about half cooked.
Make a caramel sauce with butter, brown sugar in a sauce pan,
When the sauce has thickened, combine sprouts & sauce, placing halves face down.
Saute until sprouts are browned on the face, and folk-tender, basting them occasionally with the sauce.

This method has converted some hard-core sprout haters, including my wife.
Don't bother walking a mile in my shoes. That would be boring. Try spending 30 seconds in my head. That will freak you right out!!

Had em tonight.  Just steamed with butter and salt.  Yummy.

We have them every so often.  I like them, just steamed until tender.  For some reason I have always liked these, even when I was a little kid.
