Happy New Year!
« on: December 31, 2019, 04:37:41 PM »
Now go to bed.  Lol.

Remember when staying up late was so cool?  And staying up all night was an adventure?  Well that was a long time ago.  I'll probably get 3-4 hours of sleep before the drunken revelry and the fireworks start up.  Heathens!

I wanted to wake up to the new year in my sleeping bag in the woods.  Maybe tomorrow...

My grandma was a flapper.  The 20's are back.  She always had a good time.  I wish I could be more like her.

Kelly is celebrating by drinking. snort.  She's nursing a mimosa she probably won't finish.  Real lush.

I'll set the alarm for midnight.  Kiss, "Happy New Year honey.", back to sleep.

We're party animals.
At least it's not a femur through the pelvis.

Happy New Year to every last one of you forum folks.  Thanks for making this a small but very fun place to be on.

Hope all of you have whatever you wish for next year and I hope all of us get inner peace, prosperity, and happiness in bushel baskets.

And so the New Year is here. The revelry is winding down to a whimper.

Hoping the past year has been good to all of you and may next year be all you hope it will be.

Now, if I can just get that 2020 date right when I write out the checks for the next month or so.

Happy New Year, Gang!  Hope it's a great one for you and yours.  Last night was a quiet evening spent at home.  Today will be the traditional southern New Year's Day meal with some close friends.  Black eyed peas, collard greens, corn bread, and some pulled pork from a shoulder I smoked last year.

Sounds like a great meal Nuke.

My wife and I stayed up till midnight, first time in years.  Wasn't so much to greet the new year as it was to watch a Twilight Zone marathon and discover that we had seen everyone of them but about three  back in the sixties when they were made.

Today started badly.  My wife trapped a skunk in the barn live trap and I get to drag the trap out in the open and dispose of the skunk.  Well it was a fast runner and I didn't want to hit the barn as it headed back towards the small door so I waited until it cleared the wall............. and I missed it and it went back in the barn.  If it is trap smart we are screwed.  Hope it is a male or we will have a passel of them come early March.

This is the sixth skunk this fall and winter so far.  Most in twenty years.

I can't verify this, but it sounds like the Chinese New Year just might be the Year of the Skunk.
