New Zealand researchers found and processed film from the Shackleton expedition that was undertaken about 1914 to 1917.  They were stranded in ice and eventually rescued.

I remember this now but sure as hell didn't when I saw it yesterday.  One of the great joys of old age is finding new things even if it is just old crap you have already forgotten.
