« on: November 11, 2020, 05:26:27 AM »

Here's a big Salute to all our Veterans, retired, active duty, military and first responders, and to all who are no longer with us on this day set aside to honor them and all that they have done and are still doing for us and our country.

This is a bitter sweet day for me for a lot of reasons. I had the privilege of growing old, raising a family and living a full, good life when so many others did not.

As I remember them today it helps reaffirm my decision to continue supporting Veterans For Peace as I have since it's founding.

My best friend died in Vietnam in May of 1968.  I think of him most days, remembering his sacrifice and the sadness of a life not fully lived.

I salute all veterans today and every day.  God bless them all.

Thanks to all those who have served, those that serve still and those that will serve.
