I was gifted these Kamikoto Kuro knives for Christmas.  They are ceramic, and pretty interesting.

I had a ceramic knife about 25 years ago.  Had to send it in to get it sharpened in those days.  Can you sharpen these should they need it?

the paperwork with the knives do not address that question.  These are made of Zirconium Dioxide.  The knives are very sharp, but supposedly rather fragile,  at least for the stuff WE do with knives.    :-X

The one I had required it to be sent to Boker for sharpening and it was retired from use and later sold. 

I still have a tiny folder made by Boker but have not used it for a long time.
