Woo! I've been wanting to carve myself one of those puppies for awhile, but I'm having a heckuva time finding some decent wood where I live. (Far too much locust, walnut, pine, cottonwood).

I've even considered buying birch logs off eBay.  :o

not to much  more  to be honest more on the final shaping I wanna get  the bottom a touch thinner  than it is. May not look it but it's still a bit chunky in a few spots  mainly  the front and back in the handle section

Here is an update as of today. Did  more shaping to the front of it still a bit chunky there but my hand is  killing me now LOL also did some rasp  work and  a ton of  sanding to it  got a lot more to  do sanding wise  especially on the inside of the bowl. I also  did a bit of a thumb grip  in the top portion of the handle  to the top pictures are pretty much where I left off for today

Wow Easy...its coming along nicely for sure!    I think its a good size..  after all the work of making camp coffee.. one may as well have a large coffee to keep ya going all day.  :)      I love that spoon too...

Yup..  ditto the 'kuksa man'.

On particularly rough days when I'm sure I can't possibly endure, I like to remind myself that my track record for getting through bad days so far is 100% and that's pretty good.
