Looks like she is an Osprey.

No way to tell what the nest is on but at my place they eat fish on top of a power pole.  That might be my missing coat above the trash coat.   :-\

If I had to guess I'd say an osprey on top of a power pole.

Nice photo equipment, Zammer!
Around here they erect poles with platforms between power lines and water features to entice the osprey to nest there, rather than the power lines.  Our major cause of power failures is not the weather, but birds getting fried on the lines and blowing transformers.  We have an "Osprey Cam" in the area, and last year the nest was empty because the female got toasted on a high tension wire.  Another couple has moved in, so we should see some chicks this year.

My camera is a mid range Canon point and shoot, PowerShot SX130is, I was shooting in auto and couldn't get a focus using zoom so I moved in closer and the camera automatically switched to "flower" mode. The distance from lens to bugs was about 3 inches.

We have a very productive Eastern Bluebird nest box, it has produced 3 to 5 nestings per year for at least 12 years. This year's dominant pair is on their third nesting already. They overwintered in the box because we fed mealworms all winter, and the first nesting was in April.

Pappa Bluebird and new fledgling, on fledgling day of second batch, June 12th.

I thought that the adult female had nested again within a day, yesterday, June 23, I saw what appeared to be feeding activity by both parents, only 11 days from fledgling date of previous batch. This evening I decided to confirm a hatching, so I opened the box, using my camera to see inside as the nest is above my eye level. It looks like 4-6 new babies, third nesting of the year so far.

We have to be constantly vigilant in checking our bluebird nesting boxes around here.  It is very common for wasps, sparrows, and barn swallows to take them over which keeps the bluebirds from even trying.  If you keep them cleaned out at the first sign of unwanted invaders, the bluebirds will usually fledge 2-3 batches per season, per box.

We have lots of them around here, now.....mainly because of this organization.....

I feed freeze dried mealworms all year. Last winter we had as many as 8 adults packed in the box together. As soon as the weather broke in the late winter, the dominant pair chased off the rest, and were nesting by the first of April.

Prior to today I had never opened the box when I thought it was occupied, didnt want to disturb them.

On our third nesting here, too.  I clean out the nest box within a day or two of fledging and within a week or two at the most there's a new nest.  I feed live mealworms all year.  They won't touch the dried ones, but I saw a new to me product the other day that I'm gonna try this winter.  It's almost like a suet cake, except larger, that you can cut/break pieces off.  Contains mealworms, small pieces of peanuts, berries, etc.  I know the bluebirds really like the dogwood and holly berries here in the late fall/winter.

I fed one batch of live mealworms, 10 years ago, they went through a 100ct tub in 5 minutes, and I knew I would have to find another way.

I only feed them 15 mealworms twice a day so a 500 count tub lasts a little while.
