Your doing some real good looking woodcarving.

I still have a Swiss Volcano stove with your name on it.

Let me know when you get the time to do a Kuksa.
Upon this a question arises: whether it be better to be loved than feared or feared than loved? One should wish to be both, but, because it is difficult to unite them in one person, it is much safer to be feared than loved.

Looks like it will be sweet. Save those chips for smoking. Apple is great with pork.

Little update  starting some detail  work on the handle.  and a bit of outer shaping on the bowl

To this point it was shaped just with the hawk

Starting of some knife work

And where I am at  this point today though finished  working on it  for today and may not get to it for another couple days due to the weather going downhill tomorrow night lol

Looking good!

Is the wood green? I carved some season apple last fall and man it was hard stuff!

My handles all seem to come out wavy like that... too bad it's not on purpose  LOL!  :-[

It's semi green though when I first got the  wood it was shooting  water out with  every knife slice so it's been sitting around for the  past few months since Irene came around lol

Ya do  spoons yourself? if so love to see your work it's stunning wood to work  with I actually  find it easier to  work than full green

There was a cook with a waist
Who had a spoon with a wiggle
She'd stir and taste
then grin with a  giggle.

:)

Sorry Easy.. it just came to me and I couldnt resist.

WW.
On particularly rough days when I'm sure I can't possibly endure, I like to remind myself that my track record for getting through bad days so far is 100% and that's pretty good.
