Improvised wood carrier
« on: February 22, 2012, 08:34:06 PM »
In the What Is It? thread I showed an old wood carrying sling from the ancient past.
Then in the thread about the "rolling half-hitch" I mentioned how versatile the knot was.
So I threw this together to show how easy it might be to bundle your firewood, if you have several pieces you need to carry some distance back to camp.
This will probably be one of the shortest videos you'll ever watch! Hahaha!

Don't bother walking a mile in my shoes. That would be boring. Try spending 30 seconds in my head. That will freak you right out!!

Great use of that knot, OP. A couple of seconds spent on that could save you a couple of minutes picking up dropped sticks along the path.

I use the same system for carrying a 20 pound bundle of sun pavilion poles.

You just hit us with a reminder for something probably often overlooked. Short, sweet and to the point, thank you OP.
