Besides, if you do it all red, and shades of brown it will look too much like They Who Shall Not Be Named.

Dave Canterbury's forum?

(A little joke, of course.) :D

But I get what you're saying.

I really DO like this color theme.    Maybe it would make a little bit of a difference upping the size of the font a bit?   That might help the ' harder to read ' part. :)

On particularly rough days when I'm sure I can't possibly endure, I like to remind myself that my track record for getting through bad days so far is 100% and that's pretty good.

But with the wrong green theme, you end up looking like THESE folks.

So when you get down to it, your current theme is unique.

I took the liberty of removing "that one" juuuuust in case. Last thing I want to do is poke that particular hornet's nest any more. ;)

But I understand, and we do want to keep our look unique. This theme was originally a stock, out of the box theme but over the past couple of days I've been modifying it to make it our own.

Yeah...sorry 'bout that.  Just a few numbers down on the hue for all the elements and you might get what you want. The combined colors are nice, just a little light.

I've been staring at palettes all day, lol! I think I can find something nice. I want to make it feel a little "warmer" if that makes sense.

It feels warm PW!    And you know it will look a little bit different once you guys pick a Banner of some sort down the line.

I'm thinking I need to paint my living room this color....

All I did with this was "darken" it by -21 under the values you had set.
Don't know what you think of this.

That looks nice OP. Thing is, I'm not exactly sure how the css color code system works. Each shade has a different combination of letters and numbers that I haven't figured out yet. I can pull the codes directly from a palette. But I can't alter the existing codes with any expectation that the effect will be consistent across the board.

http://www.w3schools.com/tags/ref_colorpicker.asp?colorhex=808000

Have a look at the color codes on the right. It's not intuitive. So I'll need to pick new shades from a palette rather than try to adjust the existing ones.

I don't know if it will help, but the brown main message window I pasted shows up in my editor as HTML Code= E1DBC5

So how does one darken "D7D7D7" by -21?

Sorry...two different things.
After I "darkened" your original, I took a reading with the Color Changer and found the new shades I created had those codes:

Main Message box: e1dbc5
Gray quote box:      d7d7d7

Those numbers are HTML code numbers, not the Hex numbers you get off that website with the color picker.  I don't know which you need in your software.

Okay, I've confused the heck out of both you and me.
If you go to that w3schools site, go to color picker, and type the "e1dbc5" into the box, and 'submit', it returns the color I created in the image I pasted.

P.S. Ack! Lime Green!!! Gag....  :D :D :D

Life is so much simpler when you are a bit color blind.   8)

Upon this a question arises: whether it be better to be loved than feared or feared than loved? One should wish to be both, but, because it is difficult to unite them in one person, it is much safer to be feared than loved.
