The weather was so nice today I had to hit the water for a little while. We are a small and economically challenged town and feel real lucky were have the river access points. This one is the results of a local eagle scouts service project.


The poor sycamores along the bank are about nekkid now.

I was happy to see my friend the heron. I think he's getting a little used to me. He's quite the regal bird.



Plenty of critter activity along the banks. Haven't seen a deer yet. Have found a couple spots where they drink.

Crappy pic but this is a drinking spot for the deer. The ground is really chewed up.

If you look closely in the right side of this picture you can see some finger sized fish. I found two large schools and saw 2 or 3 six inchers! I think that's a good sign for the stream.

Cool way to pass the morning.
