Wow! I like that blade, Swithblade! I'm unfamiliar with it, though. Can you fill me in a bit, please?

Sure.  :)
That's a custom blade, made by a Hungarian knife-maker named Angelero.
The blade is made out of Uddeholm Sleipner tool-steel @59HRC
Total length: 226mm
Blade length: 105mm
Blade thickness: 6mm
Handle material is homemade micarta.
It's a very good knife. ;)

Wow that is one serious chisel edge on this one, you could use this as a draw knife without any problems.

I have been on a Schrade old school lockback kick lately!

I took this group photo before some if these leave for new homes! I have a few more coming! I'll figure out which ones stay home with me and which need to move on!

I'm not sure what my next kick will be yet.

The file origins in the choil area, but the clean blade are what I appreciate.    The handle treatment is impeccably done, too!  VERY attractive package.

I've been playing with this one today. I haven't gotten a chance to test drive it yet. I've cut, whittled, drilled and batoned all day...mostly seasoned maple. My hands and fingered are sore. No noticeable difference in sharpness. Impressive, Red!

I've heard of that maker Sarge. Seems to be not much to look at but makes a hell of a knife. I heard they stay sharp.

That is a CFK prototype (I don't if Mike is involved with them...).  It can open beers too!

If they're the CFK based in Oregon that sells a lot of "tracker" type knives on ebay, and allegedly have "hand forged blades" out of D2 and "forged" in England or Sheffield or wherever they claim, they have come under fire before for ripping off a number of makers designs. Not inspired by their designs, straight up ripoffs. Something to keep in mind.
