30*  Right now outside.  Bright blue sky and big ol' snow clumps falling off the pine out there onto my roof.  Sssplat.   Keeping the dogs on their toes today barking at the ceiling.

I would say we got 4 inches of snow yesterday.   Sounds like we may get a touch more tomorrow.  blah.

34* and windy with cloud cover.  Most of the snow from Monday is gone.  Its nice and muddy but the wind will dry it up fast.  Next up will be weed control.

Well it's 78* currently working on 90+ for today. Get everything ready to pack the truck in the morning for the Kracaneuners camping trip.

55 degrees this morning, calm, sunny.  Should get to 70's.

The fields are nearly dry.  Cattle are liking this weather.  Not many bugs yet.

Warm one here today. Woke up at 6am at almost 60 degrees outside, a high for the year so far at that time of day. Right now, just after 1pm, it's almost 80. Boy I am loving the warmth, but I already know I'm going to dread the summer.

Nooooooooooooo... Bearhunter say it aint so!!    Not more than 20 mins ago I told hubby I couldnt see not ONE speck of white out there.....  whaaaaa

I think its in the 60's today.  I have the windows open and listening to the geese honking like crazy out there.   Seagulls are making quite a racket too.    The lake is still froze over with dry edges of stinky weed piles.   I think theres dead fish too ..phew.

68 degrees here this AM and its 73 at present.  Tractors are running in the fields and most everybody is getting ready for Spring chores.

Even us hobby farmers are smiling.  That, of course, can change as soon as the next front comes in.  Our last frost date is May 25 or so.

42 degrees, mostly sunny, light wind.  Turkeys gobbling in the oaks to the south of our place.  Lots of whitetails in the alfalfa.  Saw two colts yesterday so Spring is really here.  They were a set of twins.

Western South Dakota north of the Black Hills is 40 degrees and calm.  Partly cloudy skies.  Turkeys are moving around in small groups.  The big toms must be running off the jakes as that is mostly what I see.  Hens are starting on nests.

We branded calves at the neighbors in a stiff wind last night.  The best part about branding is the meal after the work is done.  Too cold to cook outside so we ate in the ranch house kitchen.  The talk usually goes from politics to family history and the latest news on who has done what to whom.

Maybe Spring is here.  34 degrees this morning, 66 degrees now.  The warmth has got the alfalfa perked up and irrigation is not far off.  They might turn the ditch on early this year.

I am warped.  When its really crummy weather its interesting.  When its warm and calm and blue sky its boring to report on and to read about.  It must be because misery loves company but contentment wants no friends to share it with?

Little late to the game posting today but it's going to be a nice spring day. My neighbors on both sides mowed their lawns Friday thus breaking the unspoken agreement we had to not do so until the very last possible time. To
avoid being "that guy" I'll have to mow the lawn today. Also on the agenda is garden work and a bike ride.

Today, 64 and rain, yesterday, 64 and rain, Friday, 64 and rain.............go back about 10 days and that's what it's been here.  Rain hasn't been steady that whole time of course, but we've had plenty of it.  Have had time between showers to get some things done outside so that's been good.

Another day in the series of hot, dry days we've been having here. Just over 65 at about 7am, little over 80 now at 5pm

Supposed to be high and dry for another week here, haven't seen rain in two weeks.

Hot here too BH.  71 early, right now my outdoor thermometer says 92 but its probably about 80.  Due to the immense lack of moisture in Western South Dakota, SE Montana, and NE Wyoming  we are seeing high numbers of cow/calf pairs going to the sale ring.  The other thing is early irrigating.  We almost never irrigate the first cut of alafalfa but I am this year.

'Bout 48 here this morning with a high of 72 today.  Yesterday was gorgeous, too.  Supposed to be a tad cooler tomorrow morning, about 44, with a high of 77. Then it starts gettin' hot again with highs in the high 80's reaching for the 90's.

Little cooler here this morning at 65.  Chance of rain the next couple of days but I ain't holding my breath.  We put water on the alfalfa last week and finished up last night.

Calm enough so far to spray weeds or sight in a rifle.

Glorious mornings here in central FL this week.  Lows in the 50's.  Birds are singing their hearts out.  This'll be the last of the cool for 5 months.  We'll start sweating walking to the car at 7 am soon.

55 degrees this morning.  Got 78/100ths of an inch of rain last night.  Quite a Thunder and lightening storm went through.  It could rain again over the next few days and we are hoping for more.  Turned the irrigation pipline on this morning, fell in the mud and got myself coated up good.   :P

I woke up to one HUGE roll of thunder...   I hate that.    I freak when storms sneak up on me...

We got a nice rain and by the time I got online to take a look on this storm they had warnings of quarter sized hail for this storm to the northeast of us.  whew.     I dont have a garage so my car would take a beating.

No.  I started out thinking there would be no chance for any photo ops.  Turns out I was right.  At least this time when I fell it wasn't into the main ditch.

50 degrees this morning and another .80 inch of rain overnight.  In fact it is still raining lightly.  That is almost 2" in the last three days and we needed it badly.

I rode the four wheeler out to check the headgate this morning and took along my walking stick so I wouldn't fall in the mud again.  It worked.   :)
