HORN HUNTIN'...
« on: June 08, 2013, 03:31:50 PM »
I actually just found this little article about my knife making friend that I never knew existed.
This was awhile ago though, he's in his 70's now, but pretty much looks the same.
I was up at his place on Wednesday visiting and I also picked up my knives that he recently did for me... Pics will be up soon!
I'm also good friends with the fellow that wrote the article (he's now in his mid 60's). He and his wife live not far from Pat and about 8-9 miles or so from us.

I know that I've put this photo up a couple of times already, but some folks my not have seen it.
His cabin from this past winter when we visited him on snowmobiles...

And now the little story...

BTW...
He does some beautiful work. One of these days I'm going to save up and have him make me a belt buckle out of elk antler with an elk and mountain scenery 8)

Thanks Wolfy :)

I'll try to get the pics up today or tonight.
If not today, then tomorrow for sure.

ETA...
Wolfy I just checked and I'm getting to many shadows from behind where I want to take the pics at. So it'll have to be later today or tomorrow before I can get the pics up.

Neat article. You got some cool neighbors (2 and 4 legged). Thanks!

I saw an elk horn cribbage board there on his display table, but those buckles made from the crowns with the artwork applied are fantastic!

That's a neat read and quite the moose encounter.  Thanks for the share BH, it's those kind of interesting friends we don't forget.

Thanks OE! He's a good fellow. He was in the Navy for a number of years.
Then he moved 'up to the mountains' in '71. That's the year I was born.
I'd say he's been up here awhile... 42 years 8)
