I like your  sleeping set up.

I took a canvas tarp into a sewing shop place here in town and had the sided formed into loops and sewed down the sides.  It works pretty cool and is a lot cheaper than buying one all made up from some the  places like Deluth packs.  Wow there price is unreal.

I really like that you always have a system that fits your need. Kephart bed near a fire wen it's Cold an hammock wen you out an made have a nice camp or like me wen I'll have junior with me. He loves the hammock. Another cool thing is wen we are out fishing we have the option to sit in a amazing chear, it's really relaxing.

I'll can only say thats it is the best system I have tryet. I have normal hammock ect. But you always have to take more stuff with you out, this one you have 3 options.
An it's not expensiv , just the time you put in it, but thats just fun i my eyes.
Thanks for tjekking it out.

No problems. In my mind that is what Bushcraft is all about.

I'm seriously going to have to study this one. Looks like something that would easy to pack away for an over-nighter in my pirogue. Only down-side I can see is that I'd probably have to find and cut the poles and take them with me.

Too many places I've gone, you either can't cut them, or can't find them. However, taking some along wouldn't be a bad thing.

You've really come up with a good one!

Very nice design! Can also serve as a litter for an injured comrade, or a travios.

Couple questions. What weight/type thread was used, and was it sewn on a conventional sewing machine (even the canvas one)?  I really like the 2-ply design of the 2nd one for the sleeping pad. I also like the idea of the side guy lines. One of my biggest complaints about camping hammocks is that I feel like I'm in a taco shell!

If you were in the U.S., I'd say get your patent in NOW! That is a salable piece of gear!
Don't bother walking a mile in my shoes. That would be boring. Try spending 30 seconds in my head. That will freak you right out!!

Thanks to all for the nice Words.

Yes its made on 'normal' machines. Noting fancy.
The thread that was used is extra strong but normal thread.
I'll also don't like the way a normal hammock Closes you in. This is much better.

Very nicely designed and executed bed system you've devised there, LBJ.....I like that a lot!   I get claustrophobic in a conventional hammock, so this looks like a solution for my phobia & a night of comfortable rest!   Thanks for the excellent videos! :)

Very nice application.

I have seen this before, but was a bit more complicated......I like your simple approach.

Thanks for posting.

I love being out in the woods!   I like this quote from Mors Kochanski - "The more you know, the less you carry". I believe in the same creed, & think  "Knowledge & honed skills" are the best things to carry with ya when you're out in the wilds. They're the ultimate "ultralight" gear! ;)
