Forum software update coming

SMF issued an update. I will install it in the next few days. If you notice an interruption in access it is likely part of the update process.

It should be relatively quick and go unnoticed, but I figured I would let you know just in case.

on a side note, when viewing the forum on a small tablet (galaxy tab 7.0 for instance) the zoom is all f'd up.... it seems like there's a lot of extra white space on the side of the page.

noticed today that i couldn't post photos typing the letters "IMG" in brackets, with the forward slash in the second set, and the URL in-between the bracketed "IMG".  I was only able to post photos by using the little image icon "button" above the row of smiley faces.

Hmm...

I am responding to this post on a galaxy tab 2 7" tablet and it looks just fine. I use Chrome browser and view in landscape mode.

I have had that problem for a long time now. Every time I click on a thread it opens in half a screen and I have to resize it. But when I click back to the unread index it is full screen.

My hardware with this problem is an  iPhone 4S using the chrome browser.

the quick reply box is really wide, and i think that's what makes it think there's more screen to the right...

While most of the rest of the folks on this forum are viewing everything in the newer 'green' format, I am still using the old beige/brown version because of that very problem.  Everything got very narrow on my iPad when the switch was made, but the older format still works perfectly.....go figgur'.

I switched back to the same scheme you're using, because the contrast with the Green Bean conflicted with every other color setting on my system.  The contrast and ease of reading was non-existent.

yep, that's the problem.

the new theme's quick reply box is incorrectly formatted and shows up very wide.

it also shows wide on my home computer, but only with firefox... the auto wrap feature isn't on maybe?

I just flipped back to the concrete format and the problem goes away.

No, it means that we don't jump on the bandwagon just to be like everyone else. We do what works for US.
