Just had to share with my fellow axenuts.  I have secured a Plumb Cedar axe, in the 1.75-2lb range.  I have been wanting one of these for years but they have gotten more expensive and harder to come by lately.  Well that all ended as I came across one at a more than reasonable price.  Only downside is it's a Christmas gift so I won't have it till then but nonetheless it's going to be a fun project to look forward too.  I can't wait.  It should be my ideal woods axe when I'm done.  You can bet a future project post will be coming.  And if you happen to have one throw your pics up to help hold me over  O:-)

hehe, find it and post it up Creek!

I came across a pic of Double Ott's on here from awhile back and it's exactly like his.  Has the Plumb stamp on one side and the "Patent Applied For" on the other

Double-bit cruiser? ???

No, it's more of a single bit boy's axe size head.  But shaped kind of like the early Plumb hatchets.

thats a nice one OE... congrats
iv'e always wanted one of those too. i started to 'pull the trigger a few times on one of those, but never did  :(
i can't wait to get settled back in somewhere so i can get back into 'axe mode'!
iv'e got plenty of heads and hafts to keep me busy for awhile!
a couple are 'tasmanian' patterns... one is a brand new 4.5lb KELLY from australia that has NEVER been hung, the other is a 3 1/2lb KELLY made in canada for the australian/new zealand market. a fellow 'axe head' friend from NZ sent it to me as a gift!
i also have a few conneticuts that need hung too :P
