Crosscut Saw Information that all owners and admirers can use

Crosscut Saw Information that all owners and admires can use.

I was recently sharing some information with another crosscut saw owner about crosscut saws and I sent him some information that is available from The USDA Forest Service about crosscut saws. While you can request these from the Forest Service, they are now available online for you to read and review.

I thought that I would share them with all that maybe interested.

An excellent book is "Saws That Sing A Guide to Using Crosscut Saws. (illust. 62 pages)

Next is another good book from the Forest Service. Crosscut Saw Manual (illust. 30 pages)

   The Crosscut Saw Filer
An excellent DVD by Warren Miller (an expert saw filer) is online. It includes 14 sections on saw sharpening tools, saw cleaning, tuning and sharpening a crosscut saw.
    LINK:

And one last book from the USDA Forest Service that describes sharpening tolls for crosscut saws. New Tools for Old Saws (illust. 16 pages).

I sincerely hope that you will find them interesting and of value to all crosscut saw lovers, Tom
