Trayer Fire Tools
« on: March 14, 2014, 05:21:47 PM »
  This is not a review.

I saw the videos on this and thought that it is a great tool for the money, $25. I went ahead and ordered one today.  I have a thing for well designed, well built, handmade tools, especially from individuals or family run businesses, so I justify a little extra cost on those types of things.

I wasn't sure if the board was aware of this tool, so I wanted to bring it here and see what folks think of it. Myself, I can easily see this as a standard carry any time I go into the woods.

The Trayers also make this tool, which is really awesome, but a bit pricey. I bought it anyway, since I am feeling rich with tax returns. :) There are other things I need to spend money on, but I wanted to treat myself before all my oney is gone.  :-[

This is the Trayer Multi Flame other purchase. At least its going to a good family, and I wanted to support a great idea and a hand crafted good.

Can't wait to give these tools a run.

That augur function looks a lot like my "T" tool project I abandoned a few years back. :D
