Morning Paddle

It was a bit overcast, but the views were great.  Got to see the often elusive Yellow Crowned Night Heron.

Great pictures as always Crash. What's the waterway you were on?

This was on Pottsburg Creek in Jacksonville.  There's a boat ramp just off Beach Blvd to put in.  You'd be hard pressed to know that you were in town when paddling to the south.

This was the maiden voyage of our newly acquired (loaned) Pelican Apex 129T.  With it being so short it will take some practice (read coordination) with Mrs. Crash and I paddling to keep it tracking.  I plan on trying it solo sometime soon down at Guana River.  The price was right, and will get us on the water until we decide on what's best for us.

She has her mind set on a tandem yak - won't even consider a canoe.  I figure that once she is happy then I might be able to convince her to let me get a small canoe.
