Stayed on the flats today~Again!
« on: July 20, 2014, 06:09:52 PM »
Update @ post 7

Was cloudy but very nice. Karen and I took a paddle on the flat water behind a small hydro electric plant. Flowers were blooming and the weather was perfect for relaxing.

This is still a manual generating site.

A very pretty place.

Real pretty scenery around there and looks like you had a great day to be out on the water!!  That shot of the glass smooth water is really cool!

Upon this a question arises: whether it be better to be loved than feared or feared than loved? One should wish to be both, but, because it is difficult to unite them in one person, it is much safer to be feared than loved.

Looks like a nice serene paddle.  The foxglove, hibiscus, and cattails sure seem to like it there.

Another great look day to be out Creek!  I have to admit, I didn't know about the duck houses either.  Guess I always thought they nested like Geese.   Cool to see someone puts them up though if it keeps them coming back to the area!

Those houses have the "Ducks Unlimited" logo printed right on the front. Must be domesticated ducks :)

Another nice paddle outing!

FWIW, the duck houses are Wood Duck nest boxes unless I'm badly mistaken.

Then the next question is: "how much wood could a wood duck duck if a wood duck could duck wood?"

Good stuff! Beautiful looking place! :)

Nice to see the lady out with you - always makes it a special day when you can share it with a special gal!
