Krac Paddle
« on: August 10, 2014, 09:15:58 AM »
Had a fantastic time on the water with Spyder, Yellowyak and Swamphanger.  I was pleased that I did not hurt myself, capsize or otherwise draw undue attention to myself.

Awesome pictures Crash. I really like the one of Spyder and Swamp, with Swamp's fly line in action. It was a perfect day out with a great group of friends.

GREAT PHOTOS, CRASH!   You guys sure have some idyllic places to to float down there....looks like the country is tailor-made for canoes!

I noticed an airboat in one of the earlier photos.  Any problem or danger of being run into (or over) around bends and such......or are they pretty concientous?

Wolfy, all powered boats have been very courtesy during our floats, of course we hear them coming and have time to move over, but as soon as they see a canoe they come to an idle.

I posted my photo's over in the Florida section.

Already saw your photos, Graylan....that's why I was a little concerned about the airboat traffic. :-\    We sometimes have some 'sphincter-puckering moments' with bass boats in the narrow backwaters of some of the cattail marshes up here on the Missouri. >:(

Wolfy I've been going to that part of the river for almost 16 years. I've only once had an airboater be rude. I don't like the noise but they are good people.

I only took one picture with one of the power boats in it.  They were all very conscientious of the paddlers.

Now I really miss not going on the trip.

Like Greg said the pictures of the flyline were cool shots.

Nice report.  Looked to be a lot of fun too.
