Looks mighty fine Jimmy.
I need to get some good shots of the cedar stripier on the water, maybe I'll dust her off next weekend and Dave can do his magic with the cam.

No problem, I got a new cane seat to replace the one that split from dry rot. I'll get it in this weekend.

Picked up a new kayak to add to the stable. 14' wilderness systems tsunami. Last week a friend and I did a impromptu run down the Suwannee River. Ran into a group who had a couple of these in thier group. After reading reviews I ran into a great deal used so here it is. I'll get some action shots as soon as the rain gives me a break.

I was hoping the color would make me a better cook! Lol.

We did the same piece we did before from Fargo to Stephan Foster. The water level had dropped and we just packed and hauled butt. I have a few pics to show what the river looks like at 56' compared to 61'. It made a big difference. But I did miss the stronger current in a few dead spots I don't remember having before. Photo bucket is giving me problems with my laptop so not sure when a trip report is coming. Also I have a pic of Reds tree and way out of the water. I saw the island we camped the first night and you can't believe how little we traveled that day. Lots of gators, kingfishers, and other wildlife got pics up close of a huge pine snake 5-6' that crossed right in front of me. I'll save the rest for the report. The shoals had no haystacks but we didn't try it. We lucked out though skeeters weren't bad and last of the cool nights I believe. Caught a fair amount of fish on beetle spins with black grub body that was the key. The cats were all very small by my standards but the locals were very content.

That's a great looking kayak you picked up. Looks like it has plenty of storage space too. I've not paddled a sit inside kayak before, look forward to seeing it and trying it out one day. Bonus points on the color too, lucky score, and it's guaranteed to make you a better cook. Remember, once you go Yak, you never go back.

Congratulations on the Suwannee trip, look forward to the report.

The fellow that the same style was doing a nine day run. So his only resupply was going to be water. It has great storage space. Your welcome to paddle it anytime. I like yellow so all of the motor boats can see me. I plan on doing a lot of day trips through the chain of lakes in Clermont for exercise and fishing. Need to mount a rod holder.

9 day run, was he doing the whole Suwannee? I really like the Scotty rod holders on my Kayaks. Both of them also have a couple of flush mount rod holders behind the seat that come in handy for carrying a few differently configured rigs. Looks like your Tsunami might have room for some flush mounts if your looking for that kind of setup. They're also good for holding a landing net, night light, etc...

This model has bulkheads fore and aft.  Its actually made for a spray skirt too. So flush mounts would be hard but the Scotty products is what I'm
checking out. I was able to get out for an hour today before picking up Wyatt and it did awesome. Had a mild headwind and could not even tell. Its nice to have a craft that has some sort of a keel. I'm going to start putting my camp kit together so I can figure what Incan get away with carrying.
