I got my boots from the BF sale. I thought there was a mix up by the printed size on the bottom of the boot. I didn't want to put them on if they were supposed to go to someone else.

Mike reassured me he sent the right boot, and he did indeed. Gave me a great pm response that was over the top generous. therefore edited below.

I got the package today. I love the big larry. The boots are snug. It looks like it says 8 r on the bottom. Before I put them on and trudge through the wilds, I wanted to make sure there wasn't a boxing mishap and these were to go to someone else. 10R would give more room for thick socks.
 
 
 
 
 I couldn't find the size so I tried them on.  I wear a 10.5 4E and could just get them on, so I figured they were 9 1/2-10 regular.  If they are too small, let me know and I'll refund (edit)...

Now about he boots.

 They seemed small but I realize it's just difficult sliding them on. A little corn starch or baby powder will go a long way.

They are tall enough for puddle tromping and do not rub or chaff my shins. My socks didn't bunch up at the toes either.

I walked about an hour without having them laced up. My pant legs went down over the top pretty tight anyway. All kinds of muddy side slipping and 8" puddles. got back with dry feet with absolutely no hot spots.

I am very happy to say these surpass the ones I had as a kid. My feet were always sore back then. I'm guessing they just didn't fit right.

It's 45*F out today and in an hour of hard trudging my feet didn't sweat. That's a god thing. I can't wait until the weather is bitter cold.


Thank you for a great sale price, quality product  and above and beyond customer service. Sure is nice.


P.S. That big Larry is awesome. Sure is going to come in handy. Seems like more than 400lumen. Nice wide area that will make it nice working beneath vehicles.

Thank you for the positive feedback.

I'm glad the boots fit and didn't have any doubts about that you would like the Big Larry Flashlight. 

That magnet in the base makes it very useful to keep in a vehicle.

not to derail the thread, but the magnet is what sold me on that flashlight as well. i plan to put it in the emergency kit in my wife's car. if it's awesome, i'll probably buy a second one for the truck...

The reason I prefer it over a headlamp for the car is that it can be put on the hood or roof or trunk and used on the red flashing mode as a emergency light.

It sits horizontal with authority. No problem putting it on the inside frame rail while underneath.

Okay! Merino wool socks are NOT necessary in these boots. I spent 3 hours pitching out the horse barn and haling the poop in a cart about 100 yards. My socks didn't fall down and my feet were comfortable the whole time. I came inside and took them off to find wet socks... It is 40F out so A little overkill.
