Wall Tent Shop Experience
« on: December 22, 2021, 11:32:19 AM »
For years I have used a 10x12 wall tent from The Wall Tent Shop. For months at a time in all seasons it has been a very comfortable place to be. This tent was purchased from a previous owner who lived in it with her boyfriend while finishing college. The tent package was mostly complete but some pieces had not been used. The internal frame and tent were the only parts in use. The fly was an inexpensive tarp and there was no wood stove. The platform used wasn't included. I don't generally use one.

After a good amount of time comparing different marketing tactics and user reviews, i chose to stay with The Wall Tent Shop mostly based on the fact that several times i called with questions the phone was answered or the call returned by someone willing to offer information  in a very helpful way. Adding in the fact it's Veteran owned and the owner's (Rich) quirky videos are pretty informative it seemed a good choice.

I added a tent fly, floor and wood stove along with some additional stakes. That was more than a decade ago and that tent ianf all the parts are still going strong. No leaks, tears, zipper problems or what have you. Snow, rain, desert sun,  heavy winds and everything in between it has performed great.  I know how to use and take care of canvas tents after a very long time of using and often living in them them so that helps but the basic quality of all the components really gets the credit.

There are a bunch of tent makers offering made in the USA canvas products of just about tent type from re enactor to catered glamping styles  Of the many choices available I can recommend gear from the Wall Tent Shop for a good value product and a fair deal.

Happy Camping.

Is your wall tent one of those that Wilderbeast was selling, XJ?   If so, I have one just like it that I've had since I was a Scoutmaster....a LONG time ago.  They're dang good tents....well made and tougher than woodpecker lips!  They have to be to endure the abuse that the scouts put them through. :tent:

BTW....thanks for the link.

Yup. I can't believe how long I've had it kicking around. I think Upthecreek is the only one that put his to use.
