Sorry to hear that you lost your fur baby.  I know how that feels.  Not pleasant.  Cherish the memories.

Sorry to hear this Tony.  Memories last forever and as you note, you will see him on the other side.

I always remember what Will Rogers said when asked if dogs go to heaven.  If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went.

I turned to the Bible for some comfort.  Many many references to animals in Heaven.  And I found out where the concept of the rainbow bridge came from.

Thanks everybody for your well wishes.
I've never got fruit baskets, dinners, and sympathy cards for losing a dog before

He was truly well loved.

Thank you.  Max is ashes in our dining room in a nice wooden box with a brass name plate.  I touch the box everytime I walk through.

Max was quite the water dog.  He could actually walk on the canoe rail while the canoe was moving.  He had his special spot at the bow.

Sorry for your loss my friend, I haven't been paying much attention here lately, But I do know your pain, having had and lost quite a few great dogs over my lifetime it's not hard to remember the feeling of loss, funny thing I realized about losing a special pet, the loss seems to cut deeper and last longer than when you loose a human friend or family member, I've never lost a child (hope I never will), but I think the pain of the loss might be close to that when you loose  a pet, especially one that is so devoted a so full of affection for you.

Again, sympathies my friend, all I can offer is this, eventually the pain and sadness will fade, but the memories are forever.
