Thats a bit of a bummer, if you don't check the box save to outbox you can't get your sent PM's,can't it be set to automaticlly save your outgoing PM's ?  :)

There are PM settings in your profile. Try sending one now. Then you should be able to see your sent messages by hovering over the blue "messages" button and selecting "sent items".

It's a feature you can toggle on and off in your profile.
