Yes they are, I wish I could get more....
Upon this a question arises: whether it be better to be loved than feared or feared than loved? One should wish to be both, but, because it is difficult to unite them in one person, it is much safer to be feared than loved.

I need to get mine out of the old non-functioning chest-type freezer that I use to protect equipment from  ravanous mice out at the farm and set it up again.  I love those old canvas wall tents......just seems more like the old-style camping that I remember as a Boy Scout at Camp Cedars.  :)

Neat ridge-pole idea, too.....no obstructions to get in the way on either end.     These tents are designed to enable the user to roll the doors & walls up, so they can be secured in that position by the attached twill tie-tapes during the heat of the day.......or when you just want a sunshade or an unobstructed view of your surroundings, while lounging in your Adirondack chairs during a refreshing Spring rain shower.  ;D

Creek, you've given me the incentive to build a small platform-floor for our identicle wall tent, too.....not in a tree, though.  I've got some old used lumber that would work quite well for the project and I see no other projects on the horizon, so why not?   Wouldn't cost nuthin'

They are nice tents. I'm going to set mine back up after Thanksgiving. I plan to get the stove jack installed and the stove up and running once/if the weather gets cold.

Cool. Where do you plan on cutting in the jack? I am hoping to use mine as a hammock hot tent.

I'm not exactly sure yet. I'm going to do a little searching as to how others have done it then decide based on how I think my sleeping arrangements will be and safety.

I think most go through the top of the doors. No cutting. I've seen the hot tent.  This scout tent is 7' long and my hammock is 11'. I don't think Enough diagonal hang can be done to make it fit.

I have a lot of Ripstop so I may sew up a light weight one.

Selling my Used Scout tent. No major issues, a few soot marks a small hole here and there. Setting up in the rain will close all the pores. I used it for winter camping last winter -11 with a Kni-co medium stove, plenty warm. Stove jack out the back door, no modifications to tent. Angle kit for 1" EMT included. You cut your own tubing or closet rod, internal frame. If interested, I will post some pictures.
$195 plus shipping. Paypal.

This thread is about four years old.  The vendor hasn't been on here since December of 2016.  He posted that they were all sold sometime in 2015.

Sorry.
