Old Spokeshave handle
« on: February 13, 2016, 03:37:32 PM »
Hi,

I found what seems to be a spokeshave handle in my grandfather?s toolbox.
But there is no blade on it. Where can I find a blade for it and how is it oriented?
Thanks,
Rico

I've seen blades on ebay . sometimes there's none, then a dozen. Check the UK version too.

or try writing to http://www.supertool.com/ and/or http://www.jimbodetools.com/

maybe talk to Dave: http://www.ncworkshops.com/parts_service.html

I've not messed with one like that much, but have heard lots of tales about what a pain they can be, having only a friction fit tight enough to hold its setting just right for a little while anyway.

Anyone you get will have to be fettled to work properly.

Best luck finding what you need.
