Water and desert lving
« on: January 06, 2021, 06:34:14 AM »
Living in one desert environment or another for most of my life appreciation of water is always present. Over the years my use of this precious resource has consistently been reduced and with current cabin build is heading the same way. Washing machine is long gone when exchanged for a wash tub long ago, septic is now gone when exchanged for composting commode and grey water system and so on. Not the first or most original approach to the desert but, unfortunately, not the general trend. Water awareness is obviously essential for the desert but as is becoming increasingly clear there are no parts of the biosphere where this doesn't apply. I think it might be interesting to see how folks in other areas address the issue and what has been learned.
