Kephart Saga

Since I first posted, I am now up to 45 knives finished. The latest delivered was this Saturday. Now, if I can navigate picture posting again I'll post my latest. The last three were given to friends of fifty years, guys I flew F-4s with in Viet Nam. A couple of Kephart's and a Nessmuk Skinner. My knives have been used on Deer, Hogs, and a Black Bear. One fellow also butchered a Steer. They have been given as gifts to Sons and Grandfathers. I gave the second one I made to my Sister. The three I'll try and post are a five inch Kephart with dyed Maple scales. Then a Nessmuk 4.5" blade with Maple scales. The od one is my design of a Baby Kephart with a 3.5" blade and Walnut scales.

Nice looking knives Estacado.  Good interpretation of the Nessmuk.  The little Kephart is interesting and would be a good game knife.

Yup, I agree with Stan.....all very nicely done representations! :hail:    I especially like the miniature version of the Kephart.....first time I ever saw anyone do that. :thumbsup:

Agree that these are very nicely done. Gifts made by the giver have a special place in the scheme of things as well.

When I first started, a veteran maker told me in order to stick with knife making, I?d have to have thick skin and a hard head. Glad to see you stuck with it, too.
