Looking forward to camping up there this winter with the grandkids.
I think you'll like it there. Nice campground on the river side of the road. Nice hiking trail (easy) through the forest that spills out onto the beach - probably about a three mile loop. Just a note to stick in the back of your mind.....if tides are running high there is about a 50 yard section of the beach that you will need to wade through on that hike at high tide.
With the winds that we had over the weekend, the high water mark was up into the brush for most of the beach.
