Flint, steel & tinderbox fire lighting is a sustainable method of fire lighting, as are friction methods, but flint & steel is one of the easiest primitive methods to use.

Prior to finding your channel I didn't have much interest in F&S. After learning of punk wood char, strike into the box my eyes were opened. That gives you a touch of hero status to me. Thanks Keith.
